What do you think is the change in the music industry that caused it to close down? Use Sembawang Music as a case study.

  2. sembawang had to leave as it had to overcome the rising rent and the slow business which did not allow them to earn much money so they had to had a 50% percent discount on all stocks in the year 2009 to earn what money they could earn before closing down

  10. during the rising days some people have posted the songs on the internet allowing other people to download the songs for free so the person does not need to buy it and waste money because of this situation the business of sembawang music stall has went down forcing them to close down

  17. There are more and more websites to download or listen to free songs.There are easier ways to buy music too, nowadays there are easier ways to buy music.People could just buy off the internet, why go all the way to a CD shop.
    So, the decrease in customers at Sembawang Music Centre forced them to close down.

  23. When people starts listening to music, some people will download songs illegally from the internet for free instead of buying CDs from the CD shop. Another reason is that the rental for the shops are too high for the shop manager to handle. Because of these reasons, the music shops will not have business and so they have to close down.

  24. As many internet platforms such as Youtube came about ,song were able to be downloaded easily from the internet.And the public got songs for free and lost their interest in music stores such as the sambawang music.so those music stores declined in business.
